QPR have announced that their final pre season friendly will be against Southampton at Loftus Road on Saturday 1st August.

League One, Southampton, will be the QPR's final friendly opponents in which is the only home friendly before the big kick off. The Saints game is the finale of a prestigous looking group of games and the final pre season list is as follows;

Aldershot Town v QPR - Saturday 11th July 2009 (3.00pm)

Forest Green Rovers v QPR - Tuesday 21st July 2009 (7.45pm)

Oxford United v QPR - Friday 24th July 2009 (7.45pm)

Wycombe Wanderers v QPR - Tuesday 28th July 2009 (7.45pm)

QPR v Southampton - Saturday 1st August 2009 (3.00pm)

Of the latest friendly, Assistant Manager, John Gorman told the Official QPR Website;

'It's a great final fixture for us - against a Club that means so much to both myself and Jim

Southampton are a Club very close to my heart and it hurts me to see where they are now, especially with their current financial problems. "I'm really happy with the fixtures we've got on English soil and I can't wait to see the R's fans come out in force for our final pre-season fixture'

Well, what will have a big say in whether of not the R's fans come out in force for this fixture, is of course, the price and although the Club have announced the prices as 'amazing discounts'. £15 for an adult is a bit steep in my opinion. Although there is a £5 discount if bought in advance. The price for concessions is £10 and £6 for the under 16's.

Also, for those making the long trip to Exeter for the Carling Cup clash, the date has now been confirmed as Tuesday 11th August with a 7.45pm kick off.
