Jermaine Beckford's rashness looks set to give Liam Dickinson a full Leeds debut on Saturday and the on-loan striker is raring to go and full of confidence.

Dickinson came on as a late sub in Saturday's 1-0 win over Swindon and Boss Simon Grayson gave him a run out in a reserve game against Sheffield United, Dickinson scoring in a 1-1 draw.

Now Crewe are firmly in the strikers sights as he aims to keep up an amazing record of scoring a respectable amount of goals whilst out on-loan.

Things perhaps have not worked out entirely as he would have liked at Derby, Dickinson signed for the Rams last summer from Stockport and his move to Elland Road was his THIRD temporary switch of the campaign.

Dickinson has already wore the colours of our dear friends from Huddersfield this season, bagging six goals in 13 starts at the Galpharm or whatever it is called these days. Following that, he went to Blackpool where he managed four goals in seven appearances.

His move to Leeds was frustrated by the Football League jobsworths, who declared the paperwork had arrived after the deadline and then he picked up a minor injury. Now at Leeds until the end of the season, with an option to extend to the play-off games if needs be, all eyes will be on him come Saturday.

Unless Simon Grayson has a shock in store for us, it is expected that Dickinson will take the place of the suspended Jermaine Beckford and partner Luciano Becchio upfront against Crewe at Gresty Road.

However Dickinson will not be meeting up with a former Stcokport team-mate and ex Leeds striker in the form of Anthony Elding. The striker who flopped at ER has hardly set the world alight at Crewe and is presently being loaned out to Lincoln City in League Two!
