Leeds look set to keep hold of Frazer and Becks.

Leeds are reportedly looking to tie-up the services of Frazer Richardson and Jermaine Beckford.

Long-serving defender Richardson is out of contract this summer and his agent told the YEP the indicators are that Leeds will offer him a new-deal.

Richardson has been at Leeds for the best part of ten-years and was in the last Leeds side to take part in a Premiership fixture five-years ago.

However without any disrespect to the 27-year-old, most fans will be more anxious to learn of what the future holds for Jermaine Beckford.

Beck's has one-year left on his current deal and is reportedly attracting interest from other clubs, however speculation linking him to Coventry and Sunderland is hardly head-turning stuff.

Both the club and his agent have been quoted in a positive sense about him staying put and Leeds are set to forward an offer of a new-deal to the 34-goal man now that they know what Division they will be playing in next-season.

Leeds CEO Shaun Harvey described Beckford as "virtually inconsolable" following last Thursday's play-off heartache against Millwall declaring that it was hardly the kind of response for a player who is desperate to get-away.

Time is very much of the essence with regards to Beckford's future. The player himself is 25 and surely will be wanting to play at a higher-level in the next couple of years at least.

With just a year left on his contract, Leeds will be tempted to cash-in on Beckford should the new-contract not meet his expectations.

Despite his goalscoring exploits, Beckford does have his critics amongst the Leeds fans, who question his temperament and the amount of suspensions he seems to pick-up.
