Hatters pipped Bury to right backs signature Thursday, 15th Jul 2010 17:22 Bury manager Alan Knill has revealed that the Shakers were interested in signing right back Mark Lynch following his release from Rotherham United, although any hopes of a deal collapsed as soon as County flexed their financial muscle. Lynch played a pre-season friendly for the Shakers against Championship side Burnley on Saturday 10th July and had impressed enough for manager Knill to think about offering terms to the former Manchester United player. County of course have recently completed the signing of the 28-year-old, and Gigg Lane gaffer Knill revealed that they couldn't compete with the Hatters for his signature due to the financial offer we made to him.
