Its High Noon and half past for Cardiff!

Our October 23rd clash with Cardiff City has been moved forward on the advice of the West Yorkshire Police from a 3pm kick-off to 12:30pm.

Cardiff have not been at Leeds since August 2006, when they sneaked a 1-0 win and our infamous FA Cup tie with them at Ninian Park was nearly nine years ago - still the Police appear to be gripped with paranoia when the Bluebirds' name is mentioned.

A fortnight ago when we played Swansea, I was amazed by the huge Police presence for around 1000 visitors, helicopter the works! After the game, some friends who sit in the Kop were left fuming as they were detained by the a corden of Police so that the Taffs could leave the stadium rather than keep them behind until the Leeds fans had left.

There was hardly a nasty atmosphere against Swansea and to their credit, they brought a good following who backed their team loudly to the hilt - I doubt if Cardiff will bring half as many, they never do come in great numbers up to Leeds!

Maybe the Police are trying to get as much overtime as they can before the coalition cuts swing into force?

Meanwhile, Leeds are expected to sign Sunderland and Northern Ireland full-back George McCartney on a months loan later this week. The player desperately needs match fitness having been crocked pre-season and Leeds need to address the woeful form of Fredericco Bessone who's form has been a nightmare since his summer move from Swansea.
