Whatever Happened To... Ben May

Ben May spent two spells on loan at the U's from Millwall in 2003 and 2004, scoring two goals in 21 appearances over the two occasions.

He had loan spells at Brentford after both times he was at Layer Road, scoring eight goals in 49 appearances.

Following four loan spells away from the Den, he held a regular place in the Millwall first team, making 44 appearances and scoring 11 goals in the 2005-06 season. The following season was disrupted by injuries and he made 19 appearances, scoring four goals. He went out on loan to Scunthorpe United in September 2007, a move which was made permanent in January 2008, leaving Millwall for an undisclosed fee, after seven years, having scored 19 goals in 95 appearances.

His time at Scunthorpe was mixed, with him making 50 appearances in his first 18 months at the Iron and then only making one appearance in the 2009-10 season, due to injury. He was then released when Scunthorpe were relegated out of the Championship.

He joined Stevenage Borough in October last year, where he has missed many games due to injury.

Clubs since leaving the U's: Brentford (loan), Scunthorpe United, Stevenage Borough.
