Torquay come to Spotland on Saturday and we take the usual TVOS inspired look at the man in the middle.
| First year referee Peter Quinn will travel down
from the North-East on Saturday to take charge of his first game at
Spotland. This will be his fourth game so far this season, with the previous three producing 13 goals and two red cards.
The cards were shown to Grimsby players in their 2-1 home defeat by Aldershot. One of them was Barry Conlon, who was dismissed by Mr Quinn for pulling an Aldershot player up from the pitch in an aggressive manner following something of a free-for-all.
Mr Quinn’s other games were the 2-2 draw between Morecambe and Macclesfield on 22nd August and last week’s JPT tie at Burton, where visitors Chesterfield won 5-1.
Peter was last at Spotland in August 2008 as a linesman (in old money) for the 1-1 draw with Bury. No doubt every decision he made against the Shakers was wrong!
