Nathan D'Laryea was one of clutch of signings that were announced by the club in June 2007.

There's not a right lot that we know about him. He was born in Manchester in 1985 and is of Ghanian descent. His twin brother Jonathan plays for Mansfield Town.

We know that he came from Manchester City, where he spent the previous season captaining their reserve side. He's a central defender by trade and googling his name sees a lot of positive reports from his time with the Blues. Some City fans seem disappointed to see him leave Eastlands, with other candidates more deserving of release.

However, he's reached the ace of 21 now and no sign of a Premiership debut as of yet, so I guess that's played a significant part in the decision to let him go.

He spent a month on loan at Macclesfield in January 2007. He only made one appearance with the Silkmen, that coming in a 2-0 defeat at Swindon but he did enough to impress Macclesfield Guvnor Paul "The Guvnor" Ince who said of D'Laryea: "Nathan is a strong young man who can play in central defence, or at left-back, and this will give him an opportunity to play competitive football"

D'Laryea is expected to start the season as back up to Stanton and McArdle.
