It's Donal rather than Donnelly as with the close season just four days old, we've made our first signing of the Summer.
That first signing is Irishman Donal McDermott - a 25 year old winger who fits the classic "broken toy" that Hilly loves to sign. His footballing CV has seen him have short spells at Man City, MK Dons, Chesterfield Huddersfield, Scunthorpe, and Bournemouth, before more recent spells at Dundalk, Salford and Ramsbottom.
He's spent time on trial at the club recently, and Hill has been gushing in his praise for him, saying "There’s a special, special talent there. There’s a quality player there and I’m so glad we’ve signed him." However, there is an admittance that there is a work to be done to get the best out of him.
He's signed a one year deal at the club.
