Koeman Wants Two More Signings For Perfect Selection

Ronald Koeman is on the prowl for a couple of more signings to give him what he is teeing his perfect selection.

Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf is warning football clubs in Holland to lock up their players as Ronald Koeman is still on the prowl.

"It's easy to get the impression that what Koeman wants at Southampton - he generally gets, therefore fans can probably expect a couple more new faces before the transfer window closes. " says the Dutch publication before quoting Koeman directly as saying "I want two more players for a perfect selection,"

Just what those two signings would be is open to speculation although from recent media links to possible transfers young would assume that it would be a winger and another central defender with Adams Traore from Barcelona on loan and Virgil Van Dijk from Celtic being two who have been closely linked over the summer.

Certainly at this moment in time you feel Koeman is nearing a complete squad and that these two additions would seemingly cover all bases for the Dutch manager, the Saints squad is much improved in terms of quantity and quality of the squad overall, of course the 3 players who have left were class acts, but you feel that Koeman has bought well and that the only way the squad would be now better improved would be with the addition of players who are in a higher bracket than those that we are currently able to attract.

That is going to be a fact of life for Saints going forward, we are at a stage where the players that we want are going to be hard to attract in that we are going to compete against the likes of Liverpool and Spurs for them, however we can continue to do what we have been doing so far which has worked well and if we can continue moving forward on the pitch and gin further European qualification we can perhaps start to make that next step up in terms of the quality of transfers in.

Its not a money thing, we can afford to pay big money, but we want to bring in players who are worth the fee, as we found with Ramirez and Osvaldo we can pay £15 million but that doesn't mean we get a £15 million player.
