West Yorkshire referee Andy Madley will be the man-in-the-middle for Dale’s Carabao Cup tie at Mansfield on Tuesday.
This appointment comes only a fortnight after he refereed our home friendly against Barnsley, which The Tykes won 2-0.
Mr Madley is in his seventh season on the league list and this term he is again a member of the Select Group 2 referees who mainly operate in the Championship.
Indeed, his season started there on Saturday with the Aston Villa v Hull game broadcast live on Sky Sports.
This will be Andy’s 11th Dale match since he joined the list, with his most recent before the Barnsley friendly being our 1-0 defeat at Shrewsbury in April.
The full list of Mr Madley’s Dale matches as a referee is:
Dec 11 Walsall (a) D 0-0
Apr 12 Exeter (h) W 3-2
Feb 13 Accrington (h) L 0-3

Formerly a PE teacher from Ossett, Andy is the brother of Premier League and FIFA referee Bobby Madley.
In total last season, he refereed 43 games, showing 146 yellow cards and eight reds. His final match of the campaign was Millwall v Scunthorpe in the play-offs.
