Rochdale have today announced that highly rated Manchester City goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu has joined on a season long loan.
The 18 year old joins after manager Brian Barry-Murphy made it clear a keeper would be a priority when it came to new signings.
Messageboard regular and journalist fitzochris confirmed the story after the news broke in the Irish press yesterday and the official news came through today.

Bazunu signed for Manchester City from Irish club Shamrock Rovers last year for a fee believed to be around £450k for whom he made his debut aged just 16 and he's already represented the Ireland Under 21's side. He was also added to Manchester City's Champions League squad once football resumed post lockdown and was training with the first team for several weeks.
The young stopper is very highly rated and is said to be very good with his feet in a similar way, hopefully to Robert Sanchez last season and we can but hope he has a similarly successful loan spell.
