David Rock will make his Spotland debut on Saturday when he referees Dale’s home fixtures versus Peterborough United.
The Hertfordshire official has largely been limited to games in the south of England in his two seasons on the National List, although this term he has previously travelled north to referee Tranmere v Carlisle and Hull v Accrington.
Despite this being David’s first appearance at Spotland, it isn’t his first Dale game.
Earlier this season he was the man in the middle at Oxford, where Dale went down to a 3-1 defeat, while in December 2019, Mr Rock oversaw our 1-0 loss at Gillingham in which he showed a red card to MJ Williams.
This will be David’s 24th match of the season, with the previous 23 games producing 69 yellow cards and four red.
His most recent appointment was Portsmouth v Sunderland last midweek and this will actually be Mr Rock’s first Saturday game since 23rd January!
