Refwatch: Rochdale v Bromley

Liverpool referee AARON JACKSON is the man in the middle for Dale’s game against Bromley on Friday night.

In his fifth season as a National League official, Mr Jackson also referees in Premier League 2, which features the development sides of top flight clubs.

Aaron’s only previous National League fixture this term was Hartlepool v Gateshead a fortnight ago, but last season he refereed 23 games at this level, showing 63 yellow cards and five reds.

Another footnote about Friday is that we will see a female assistant, with Emily Carney running the line on the Willbutts Lane side.

Bolton-based Miss Carney is a FIFA official and recently officiated at the Women’s U19 Euros in Belgium, including the final between Spain and Germany.
