Dale Trust Statement - Prospective Investors & Supporter Meeting

The Dale Trust have issued a statement following the EGM announcement made by Simon Gauge.

Further to the announcement of the EGM of 7th March, the Trust chair and secretary met with club Chair Simon Gauge in order to discuss information surrounding prospective investors.

Simon volunteered names of prospective investors under strict confidence that these names were not divulged beyond the agreed circulation, but that we could undertake discreet due diligence, the detailed results of which had to remain confidential, but an overview of findings could be published.

Independent and Trust investigations at a basic level have all indicated very positive credentials for these prospective investors, financially, track record in sports related business, business development and very clean images. In making this statement, we can honestly say that the calibre of investor being entertained by the club board is significantly far more credible and long term focussed than what we have seen in recent years. We are wholly encouraged with the direction this has taken. The proof of the pudding, of course, is in the eating. Nevertheless, we are grateful for the opportunity to start the "Dale fans will have you on toast procedure” only to find we could be part of a decent banquet.

We acknowledge that there is a multitude of issues that fans need addressing in relation to the on-going situation and with this in mind, the club and Trust are looking to host a fans meeting in the Ratcliffe, to be shared via the club Youtube channel for our fans that cannot get to the venue, and once the logistics are agreed we will publish details.

Up the Dale.

Further to this statement, the Trust have invited fans to a meeting in the Ratcliffe Bar to discuss this issue:

In agreement with the club, the Trust is holding an open meeting at the club this SUNDAY 25th FEBRUARY.

The meeting will be held in the Ratcliffe Bar (not the 1907 Lounge as previously advised) and will commence at 2pm with a planned finish no later than 4pm.

We are still working on how we can stream this meeting and allow supporters who cannot attend to hear what is being said and to email their own questions in.

There is no formal agenda.

We do not necessarily have all the answers but we are sure supporters will have all the questions and we will do our utmost to publish answers to anything we cannot answer on the day.

There will not be any club representatives at the meeting, so there will be an inevitable delay in getting some answers back.

Every supporter is welcome to attend.
