The defender has joined playoff hopefuls Solihull Moors on loan until the end of the season.
It's been a mixed season for Max who has managed just 16 appearances this season.
Taylor was a Robbie Stockdale signing back in August 2021 after impressing during a pre-season trial and initially signed a one year deal. This was extended two another year after just a month which seemed bizarre at the time.
The 24-year-old signed another contract extension in August 2022 which again came out of the blue but that contract expires this summer.
Max has made 64 appearances for Rochdale, scoring 4 goals.
