Dale’s trip to York City on Tuesday night will be refereed by MATT CORLETT.
This will be Mr Corlett’s first-ever Dale appointment, although he was appointed to the home game against Southend United in September, which he ended-up having to postpone due to a waterlogged pitch.
The Bootle-based whistler was promoted to the National List in the summer of 2023 after refereeing Chesterfield v Notts County in the National League play-off final at Wembley.
In 2023/24, he oversaw 27 games at EFL level, which was followed by another 25 last term.
This season has seen Matt referee 12 games in League One, League Two and the Carabao Cup, while last Monday he was in the middle for Tamworth v Leyton Orient in the FA Cup. Tuesday will be his first National League match of the season – assuming it takes place this time!
Those 13 previous appointments have seen Mr Corlett show 56 yellow cards, but as yet, no reds.
