That feels incredibly short sighted of the new Bury co.
Getting even an entry level retail operation up and running in what looks like a decent space would be fairly straight forward, and bring in steady income if done right. It could sell Bury / AFC related stuff, general football and sports gear, even teas / coffees / sandwiches etc (the college is practically next door).
I'd suggest it'd bring in more than the rent they are charging (especially after agency fees) and they wouldn't need to be paying out additional landlord insurance on top. |  | | |
