I hope defensively a signing is made otherwise we could end up with Lund, Bunney or Vincenti playing at the back!
On a practical note, prices have soared, some clubs are wanting ridiculous loan fees for players, I read that a Championship club was quoted £1million pounds for a loan fee (seasons loan) and they’ll have to pay wages as well. Add to that signing a free agent could be a problem if it’s going to take the next 2 months to get up to fitness. Fingers crossed though there is a signing on the horizon. |  | | |

I can be almost certain their will be no more incomings or outgoings. This club looks like it hasn't got ambition anymore and looks like they ant trying to push for promotion. The players we have brought in, they arnt signings that fill you with confidence and make you think "yeah they can take us to the next step". This club in one way are like Arsenal in the sense that they don't like spending money to sign anyone. All our best players that have left, we have never properly replaced them. I can't even think of the last time we paid money for a player. As a club we just try and do everything on the cheap. We as fans arnt seeing our money being reinvested in our team. Right fair enough possible the stadium takeover, but even that still hasn't been fully confirmed. We haven't got strength in depth, their isn't players on the bench that you think will change this game around. When you bring players in that have been released from lower league, released from the same league or getting free transfers on players that rant even the best in their team in the lower leagues; it never fills you with confidence. 1 times out of 5 if not more this will pay off. | | | |

You don't have to pay transfer fees though to attract decent footballers and just because we bring loan players or non contract players in doesn't mean we are not paying money for them. Players like Logan and Grant Holt don't come to Rochdale out of the goodness of their heart, we will be paying them decent wages.
Our home support is now starting to creep under 2000, the same level we had when we played in the old Fourth Division, at a time when we are going through our most successful period in the Clubs history so we aren't in a position to start paying out money on transfer fees.I don't think the Crowd has bottomed out yet, without checking, Saturday's figures show a drop of probably 600 fans since our first home game three weeks previous (25% of the fanbase). It's been a running sore for the last few years and poor decisions have made it worse. The new CE is our only hope of coming up with a plan to increase the fanbase, he's the only one with any sort of expertise on the subject.
I agree regarding the quality of some of the players that have been brought to the Club and see it as a backward step but others fans actually rate them which is their perogative obviously. I think the Stadium Takeover is confirmed, isn't it? [Post edited 31 Aug 2016 7:32]
