Hendo 17:25 - Oct 15 with 7222 viewsolympicdale

Appears to be half the player he was a year or so ago. He looked lost today, not sure whether he should push forward or be the midfield enforcer, he appeared to confuse the front three with where he should be. I love Hendo, but on current form, is there a place for him.

Life is a game of fate.

I'm struggling to see any negative at the minute, OD! Henderson hasn't been at his best for a while but he did ok today and delivered some fantastic crosses.

He was fine out wide, and with the Cannon substitution impacting the game as it did, maybe it was a tactical win starting him in midfield even though he didn't do that much there.

Give him a run in the side and I think his quality will come through..

Agree with OP OD and that's a shame as I am a massive Henderson fan.

Believe me I love Hendo, why it hurts to see him not perform anywhere near his best. I'm not looking for negatives, just an observation. It's also a credit to the team that we are performing so well even when our talisman has been so off form, certainly by his own standards.

Life is a game of fate.

Can't fault any of our lot tonight......Hendo did ok and not much more.

However, how good was Cannon when he came on? Dream display.

At one point (in the Sandy/Wilbutts corner) he left 2 of bury defenders on the arses with a deft turn inside......awesome stuff!

Though Hendo played well today

One thing he isn't is a midfield enforcer even when he has his niggly head on. Thought that at the beginning, the injury was playing on his mind as pulled out of some challenges. Agree that he didn't seem to know what his role was.

I didn't see stand out performances from Henderson, Andrew, Davies or Camps today but we won.
Camps has played in all six games but hasn't really shone.
Thompson too before his injury.
What I've learned from years of watching football is that you don't have to play a 10/10 game every week for the team to function well. So until we start losing, all of the above stay in the team. When we lose, it's time for Donal etc.
The sum is greater than the parts.

Very cool penalty with lots of distractions going on. Top man.

Its a BRILLIANT goal to cap a BRILLIANT start by Rochdale - Don Goodman 26/08/10

Maybe so , but he's still class. He was rusty in parts today but some of those crosses and the temperament when bury folded says it all. #talisman

Not sure if srs olympicdale??? He's just come off the back of a 3 week injury lay off and has been asked to play out of position and off the back of that he's not the player he was?

Do us a favour olympic and log off.

Decent game for Hendo today, mature, responsible, solid.

Everything the opposition team and manager weren't.

Goid to have leaders like him, Lund, Calvin on the pitch.

Hendo's been poor for ages. Forget today's game. He was comfortably our worst player today.

Very perceptive MD.

On paper, that was the best bury team to visit Spotland in a while.

To the eye though they were the worst, by a distance.

All that money for nothing special!

Why negativity? We won. He'd been out for 3 weeks and scored a pressure penalty. Jeez

He was up and down for me. Spent a lot of the early part of the game following it around watching, but second half he got more into it and earlier misplaced passes were replaced by passes finding their targets with some good link up play. Maybe he came back too early, but Hilly obviously thought we needed him and the plan worked - the winning streak continues!
