Probably the most influential rock n roll man ever. Where would the Beatles,Stones, indeed most top British bands of the sixties be without his iconic songs of the time, along with Bo Diddley and Ray Charles? The music scene should salute the man who gave us so much.

I saw him in the summer of 1964 in Manchester. He was on the same bill as The Animals. Alan Price sat in his backing band to play key boards. He was trying then and really great to watch. Later on he became embittered and gained a reputation as a very unpredictable performer.
When The Animals did their set they announced a new number that was being released on the following Friday and they hoped we liked it. - " The House Of The Rising Sun ".

I've never forgiven him for stealing 'Johnny Be Goode' from Marty Mcfly.
