There won't ever be another manager we will ever really associate with now, something that is completely unique in the modern game. At times we'll get frustrated and wonder what he's up to with selections and his comments, but I honestly think there's a genuine acceptance that we know that it won't be long before we go on an amazing run again. It happens over and over and is just one sign that we have the finest lower league manager over the last ten years.

If not, at least consolidating in League 1, which is no mean feat for Rochdale Football Club.

And it's great that the winner sees our club as a vehicle on which he can win.
5 (five) years!
Of course things might go tits up, but the Board, in whom we trust, think he's worthy of the longest contract we've given to anyone, ever.
And I think they will have been straight with him about the budget going forward, which he must have agreed to, in order to sign.
And in signing for 5 years, he must believe with the promised budget, he can achieve his aims.

Yes,good news indeed. Five years is certainly a lifetime in football these days,let`s hope KH`s and the Board`s aspirations come to fruition. Of course contracts aren`t worth the paper they`re written on these days,but Rochdale AFC do seem to be looking to the future with a very positive attitude,unlike a lot of basket cases throughout the divisions. Hill has a job for life here if he wants it, he wants to take the club as far as he can, and stabilise it there. Let's face it, we could end up back in l2 and there wouldn't be any, or very few, who wouldn't trust him to get us back up, Hill might want a move if that happened, but thats a different point.
Hill clearly believes in this project, but he's too clever too call it that, more of a process, and looking at how the club is set now off the field, we've never been in as good a state as right now! I would imagine that's probably a million pound contract Hill's just signed. 200K/season over 5 years and he's worth every penny. Like somebody else mentioned, if a big club does come calling then we would receive a compensation payment. |  | | |

With the amount of money Hill has brought to this club - and the amount he will continue to bring in over the next 5 years he basically earns his own wages - he pays for his own contract and then some! There can't be many instances in football anymore like this. Whatever he is on whether it be £100k, £150k or £200k per year plus his alleged transfer bonus he's worth every penny. |  |
