Don’t recognise anyone, but my memory is not too clever. However I do remember how bloody awful it was. Often played up there on a Friday night, and at least when it was dark the place didn’t look as bad. One of the few grounds worse than ours at the time. We had some decent players in that team, Eui Martinez, Eric Snooks, but also some dross.

Just checked the records - the only Friday games up there were in April 1953, September 1985, November 2001, December 2006 and March 2011.

Crikey. Thought it was more often when I had been to Hartlepool on a Friday. Definitely didn’t go in 1953, not that old, ten years before I was born 😃but went to the others, I am sure, but my memory is poor as to what year I went to certain games. Yes I know Halifax was often maybe usually a Fri night. How about Darlington, just seam to remember going a few times up to North East, on a Friday night ?
