I was reading recently about how this young man who attends our Centre of Excellence had earned selection for the Lancashire under-16 team.
He's from Whitworth so I wondered if he's a relative of Vinny or John who used to run the "Cock and Magpie"?

If he's one the Leech family of footballers from Whitworth he should be a good player. Vinny was a stalwart at Spotland, John was a very good amateur player and George was a decent amateur also.

Vinny is one of my all-time favourite Dale players.
I know that he's lived in Poulton-le-Fylde for years but does he ever come to games? Did he come to that gala centenary dinner in 2007?

Was injured earlier this season but back playing now.
