Bury backers on 13:56 - Jan 16 with 2013 views | RAFCBLUE | I heard that the failure of Carillion will delay the new stadium scheduled for August this year. Obviously the fact there is no land to build on, no planning permission and no money to build with are small details to be resolved.

But that would delay The Churs plans for Championship football in the new stadium for season 2018/2019. His track record of delivering projects on time and in budget is at risk here.

It would indeed. At the minute I would say they have more chance of a new ground than Championship football in 2018/19....

And that new ground could be FC United ground share !!! Think Mr Day will be eyeing up all those shinny new 2 up 2 downs on the soon to be revealed Gigg Lane housing Estate. At least all the new house owners will be able to buy a car parking space every year. [Post edited 16 Jan 2018 14:43]

Bury backers on 15:10 - Jan 16 with 1744 views | electricblue | Just asked my bury mate about gigg lane... Its seems that the ground can only be developed for sports and nothing else plus the woodland at the manchester Road end is protected..... So the chaur is knackered if he wants to sell to developers... I asked about the concert and the car park fiasco........ Her words.....the chaur lives in cloud cuckooland and needs to leave as more n more supporters are turning against him.....

Simply cannot happen. Gigg Lane is listed as a community asset, whilst also being on land that can only be used for sports and leisure. So it's doubly protected on that front. http://www.burytimes.co.uk/sport/football/11079281.Bury_FC_fans_succeed_in_havin However, Day has had Gigg Lane revalued multiple times, I would presume to see how much it is worth as an asset when it comes to repaying loans.
