As we all know, there will be approximately 3500 Tottenham Hotspur fans making their way from Wembley up to Rochdale next Saturday.
As most of us know, the tradition of RAFC and Rochdale fans is to be as welcoming, helpful and charming as possibly possible.
I think it is important that we therefore have a thread that follows this long held belief. So here it is.

Please note - It's a chip butty, not a barm or any other such derivative. This will quicken up the ordering process and ensure you can escape the northerner who has now started to ask 'When did you set off then?', and other such 'prying' questions |  |

Circa 1992-3 was the era of every club adopting some fluffy costume in order for some nomark to wander aimlessly around for 30 minutes before kick-off. It was the craze of that era super-ceding the inflatable craze, and preceding the giant flag craze.
The Club Sec of that era wanted for reasons unknown to order a Duck outfit and call our mascot Daley the Duck.
When it was pointed out to him that there was an unfortunate rhyming problem with this that might be inappropriate in conjunction with kids the Duck idea was scrapped!
Back to square 1. And then, some company who the Sponsorship Manager knew in Rossendale let on that they had this green dragon outfit they no longer needed and we could have it for a couple of match tickets i.e for free.
Given that we had literally duck all in those days, the club seized at the offer and so Desmond was born.
It really is that simple and boring! |  |

If you are travelling via Manchester and getting up north early the National Football Museum is worth a look around. It’s open from 10am, free to look around (donations welcome) and is a two minute walk from Victoria Station (the Manchester one obviously).
And if you do go via Manchester don’t panic when you see what appears to be a city which looks like 90% of the people are missing and you can generally walk in a straight line without constantly navigating around 50 people heading towards you. | | | |

Yes, you will probably a visit to the National "Football" Museum enjoyable, as you support a premier league team and 90% of it covers the premier league. Sadly, i wasnt surprised by that on my visit there. | | | |
