Surely when Murray left Brighton on a free transfer to join Palace all those years ago the contract he signed was finished when he left - including any sell ons or clauses? (as he left on a free) I would be surprised if any initial 'playing for England' clause still stood? Hope I'm wrong though. |  |

While being high in the English scoring charts, I very much doubt Glen has a chance of getting into the England squad.
He's not the type of player Southgate (or myself) would want up front. England don't play wingers who wing cross after cross inand that is what Murray thrives on above anything else. Same goes for Andy Carroll each tournament he has been put forward.
Pace and nippy passing, alli, stirling, rashford, vardy, lallana etc.
Would be great for him if he got called up but can't see it myself. |  |

It wasn't that long ago that Keith was raving about Glenn Murray in an interview. He was saying if he had the chance to bring anyone or any striker to the club (can't remember which) then it would be Glenn Murray. Really was full of praise for him. | |
