A bit like the 'rhythm method' ?

I'm usually quite positive about things and while it's still possible for us to survive, I will still believe.

Since the Spurs matches, we've done alright. Too many draws, of course, but at least we picked up a point. There was still time..

However, yesterday's result and the manner in which it was 'achieved' was as low as I've felt since the Fleetwood match. It was two points dropped, no question.

Edit: no pun intended!

A forward to play off. Fine. We are 21st however.

Calvin will score on Tuesday and it will be brilliant, I really hope he does by the way.
Probably mid September early October next season we’ll all start bemoaning the fact, again, that we still don’t have that elusive forward to play off Calvin.

That's all down to Calvin obviously,Raff misses a pen = Calvin's fault, our keeper drops a routine catch = Calvin's fault,Hendo gets a straight red = Calvin's fault... it all makes perfect sense now

Surely the opposite is the case. He must be the only number 9 in the country where the vast majority of supporters put him under no pressure to score.

Calvin is not a number 9, think I've scored more times than Calvin this season,

still can't believe who negative and how bad we were yesterday.

first half was borderline ok,

if we attacked like we did against Shrewsbury and Portsmorth, they wouldn't of been able to live with us,

442 means we didn't have our captain, leading scorer and best player available.

As frustrating and costly as Hendo's sending off has been, I think we should move on from it. Can't help but feel he's been hung out to dry a bit at the moment. There are a plethora of reasons why we're in the situation that we're in, I don't think we should be concentrating on one individual.

fwiw, i agree

Our performances against Oldham & Bradford were no worse, and arguably better than many others this season when our captain was playing

That's nowt to do with my irritation with his sending off, simply an observation

The odds are 20 to 1 that he wont.
Calvin would be an international player if the game was called Headball, alas its Football and his right foot is strictly for standing on. Even Moriko Sako had a better goals per game ratio.
It seems to me that asking the centre forward /target man to also be a centre half is a nonesense, the guy runs himself silly every game but its time to admit that being able to head the ball is not a qualification for being called a footballer. His best position is on the bench where he can be used in either role, but not both, to either bolster the attack or shore up the defence.

Or to Madrid, Barcelona or Munich.
Might meet expectations.
We are Rochdale.
We are in the 3rd tier of English football.
We are widely regarded as one of the best 'footballing' teams at this level.
We played some super stuff again yesterday and just missed that important 2nd goal but it wasn't without effort or trying.
Done's goal was quite brilliant.
I don't quite know what makes any of that 'dogshite'?

No we weren't

The stats show that we have been worse in the second half all season.

We have been in front or drawing at half time in 4 games out of 5 - 81%
We have scored more first half goals than second half - 54% - 46%
We have conceded more second half goals than first half - 41% - 59%
We have conceded 10 more second half goals than first half - 22 - 32
We have concede 25% of all the goals scored against us in the last 15 minutes.

As good a goalscorer he is, if he isn't put on a pay as you play deal next season then he needs to go.

He'd lose some weight if he was.

When we get out of the bottom 4 for the 1st time since December with a last minute goal from Hendo v Charlton we'll look back on all these threads and laugh!

Really?
I dont think there is much to laugh about this season do you?
Get your nose out of Hill's backside and smell the coffee instead.
We should wriggle out of this mess because I have seen far worse teams than us this season but perhaps they have a goalscorer.

Other than Marriott(P'boro), Pitman(P'mouth),Dack(B'burn) and Grigg(Wigan) most teams top scorers are around ours (Henderson 13) this season.
Last season we had Lund(9),Camps(8),NML(8),Andrew(7),Davies(6) supporting Hendo(14).
This season we've got Davies(7),Done(6) and that's it!
We've got a goalscorer - just he hasn't had the support from others which he had last season.
I guess Davies getting injured so much doesn't help because I imagine his goals per minutes played is very good! Camps hasn't done as well as last season and we've not replaced Lund or Mendez Laing's contributions. Jordan Williams has been a massive failure if the rumoured fee was correct as Hill would have expected goals/assists from him.

Having a goalscorer is where the big money has to be spent; for teams with smaller budgets like us they are much harder to find.
