so how many points ? 01:43 - Apr 25 with 3523 views

I reckon with our goal difference that 3 points to get to 51 will make us safe. That would mean that Northampton would have to win both games, ( they are both winnable), Oldham & walsall would need 4 points. With Northampton playing oldham all 3 of the above are not possible & I don't think 2 of the 3 would happen either

However 2 more "good draws" or worse by ourself will make it squeaky bum time.

So for me it's a no fear approach to both games and hope to get 1 win

At least there’s no way we can be relegated on Sat.

However a win for us and defeats for Oldham and Northampton would relegate them...

Exactly.... we take it to matchday 46 now regardless of the forthcoming weekend results.

Who would have thought that when we were 11 points behind.

3 points at Oxford for the Dale combined with Oldham / Northampton defeats indeed is the perfect scenario for us

Even more staggering is on March 3rd we had 26 points. We've picked up 22 points (and it really should be at least 26) in the last 7 weeks having to play Tues/Sat/Tues with hardly a rest and mostly the same 14-15 players. If we get out of this it's been a huge effort by all concerned and the Charlton aftermath will be one hell of a celebration.

Even more staggering is on March 3rd we had 26 points. We've picked up 22 points (and it really should be at least 26) in the last 7 weeks having to play Tues/Sat/Tues with hardly a rest and mostly the same 14-15 players. Trying to think of the worse poss scenario..

ON Sat..Dale lose...
Oldham and Northampton win( against Walsall)
Walsall win on Tues

WALSALL..51 POINTS
OLDHAM...51 POINTS
NORTHAMPTON...49 POINTS
DALE....................48 POINTS

Then come the last game we would need to win and hope for Walsall to lose...and then whatever happens in the Oldham V Northampton game would be irrelevant ..we would be higher than one of them plus Walsall..

Dunphy will need to buy the lads are McDonald's. I wonder whether accy players will get extra fries if they win the league title.

If Walsall and Oldham avoided defeat in this scenario we would be down even if we won.

Hilly always says that the first goal of every season is to get to 50 points but leaving it with just 20 minutes of the entire season left is a bit too close for comfort!

What a brilliant way to get there though.
