Wes Hoolahan? Or is he a pensioner now?

So far only that Reggie Lambe looks appealing maybe Forrester our biggest problem this season was a lack of balance. We struggle to get the best put of Camps and Hendo in the same time because they want they same space. To get more attacking midfielders wpuld be madness esp if Camps stays whixch i dont think he will then in which case we have Morley or Adshead and potentially Inman. Pace is one of things this team lacks. McGlashen has been doen south all his career s i dont expect it to be him. Knowing Hill it will be a left field punt from a youth team. If we stick with the current formation we need a lwb-because Done isnt getting younger and can you trust him their for a 60 game season like this year? 2 cbs-- even if McGahey goes if he goes 3. Once again based on sticking with the 3-5-2/3-4-3 a sitter like KK did when he first came and Cav in the past. To allow the midfielders to play. I think we also need a lw/rw with pace. I think Williams will get another crack in this formation but again he isnt lightning. And a cf that scores. Calvin is great for away games and seeing them off but weve drawn far to many home games this season. This nearly killed us we need to see of games better like we did on Saturday. Out of our potential release list id keep Kitching for back up, obvs try and keep McGahey and Cannon. I think Cannon will stay. Offer KK a six monther with thee option to extend till the end of the season. The rest can go. We cant afford passengers again next season we need a smaller higher quality team.

This is the One, I've waited for

Get Inman signed up!

No thank you, he's too light weight , doesnt klook interested and actually not that good , but hey we are a force in this division , so all our players are of top notch quality.

Go on then, who should we be signing?

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

We've been challenging for the playoffs the three previous seasons, the only thing that didn't change this season is your unerring ability to post top-notch shite

Think the only sure thing is that any player we on here think might arrive won’t and we will see 6 or 7 players we have never heard of arrive.

Inmann won’t be on low wages at posh, so I would guess (and it is only a guess) even on a free he would cost 1/4 of a million plus for a 2 season deal. Although Davis, Keane, Brown, canavan must be earning upwards of 6k a week total so maybe we can afford that.

I hope we bring in a couple of quality players, couple of utilities and use the up and coming players. Sadly keen, Davis, Brown and canavan have not been value for money this year. Maybe a little harsh on Davis but he is just nowhere near reliable enough or fit enough. Dagnall back would be no shock!!!

Rumours we are signing Tom Sawyer are greatly exaggerated. Thought if we did, maybe the ground would get a much needed paint 👍

Davies is a very tricky one. Regarded by the manager and the players as the best finisher/goalscorer at the club. His goals v Doncaster and Shrewsbury in the league were truly vital moments in our season. His goal v Spurs just catapulted Rochdale AFC all around the world and gave us one of the highlights of our lives and the trip to Wembley. I would give him a deal but it would have to be on our terms. Basic wage + pay as you play bonus. If he's not happy with that then obviously it's up to him to look at his options.

Whilst I agree with your post, the total weekly wage for them 4 players would blow 6k a week right out of the water,id imagine Canavan and Keane would both have been big earners at their previous clubs so wouldn't have come to us for much/if any less and we all know how silly bury are when it comes to paying weekly wage amounts, and we've not even started on Davies.

For what it's worth I'd only offer Keane a pay as you play contract out of all of them lot,id happily see the rest let go.Davies for his few important goals he contributes far too little and can't ever be relied on to even play, and is still massively over weight if you look at him even from his time at Blackpool and Bradford there's no excuse really.

I'd personally lay down the law with Davies and invite him on our pre-season tour in a bid to get himself in shape (round isn't a shape). If he does then he can have a new deal and will be a massive asset to us but if he can't manage it then he can find another club for me. I hate these pay as you play deals and to be fair, I think he could get better elsewhere even if we did offer him one of those

Peterborough add Marcus Maddison to those available for transfer. Are they trying to raise some cash to boost Steve Evan's transfer fund.

Maddison was promised that he would be made available for a move if Posh failed to get promoted. He's already being lined up by several Championship clubs..........it will be a move upwards for him and a bidding war.

I'd still be really pleased if we signed Bennett back.

Dunno if he's dropped out at Mansfield recently but seemed to start strongly and he's the 'defensive utility player' that Keith's been trying to find since he left.

No mention of Will Atkinson, onetime Dale loanee, also released by Mansfield? [Edit: one of six players under contract but made available for transfer]

Not that I see a case for signing him, any more than Rhys Bennett. Or Chris Dagnall, who the Crewe manager suggested was no longer up to the standard he was aiming at.

KH is good at getting more out of some players than other managers, but if you sign too many L2 journeymen you're likely to end up in L2.

It's ironic that Flicker, who by averaging only one point a match missed out on a play-off place, gets to purge the squad. Just as Steve Evans is doing at Peterborough after failing to achieve the play-offs.

You won't find mentions of Dagnall or Atkinson from me. Dagnall won't be anything like the player we had back in the day, and Atkinson never achieved the heights of his first spell here again.

Bennett, however, always looked capable to me and I thought he did well enough for us in League 1 to be considered a solid signing given that he's still relatively young. Certainly better than Reece Brown.

Bennett better than Brown yes. I don't think he would make the squad stronger.

That's fine.

I think he might not necessarily make the first 11 stronger but would improve the squad.
