Well, it is disgraceful I suppose having these competitions timetabled for when our clubs are committed to money generating overseas tours.
It made me realise though that it's 15 years since Simpson left and Alan Buckley took over.
We were signing the likes of Sean McClare, Daryl Burgess and Leo Bertos that summer.
Good professionals I'm sure but the club has come a long way since then.

We can laugh about this and stuff, but actually it's outrageous. The next time we're told we need a league three or something else dumb for the good of the national team, then they can be reminded of this joke. It's nothing but self-serving. Filling out their "brand" for these tours or farming players hoping one in a thousand break the bank with a transfer fee. It has never had anything to do with helping the national sides.
