Probably took a punt on the effect of mental pressure on a number 11 batsman in such a tight situation. In fact when you consider that Somerset edged their way to a tied score with 2 wickets left so needing just a single, one player danced down the wicket and was stumped and the last man went for a slog after 10 dock balls. The fact they had 2 and a bit days left to get 1 run seems to have been lost in some kind of brain fart |
Point Taken NM. I guess the pressure that comes when you've only got two days left to find a single from somewhere would have the same effect on most players.
