Far from it. The RAFC board over many years have been the custodians of the club through thick and thin, whatever manager was in charge, keeping the club on the straight and narrow, and solvent. As they do now and will in the future, whoever is manager.

The article linked to fails to mention the Chesterfield financial scandal of the early 2000's where they got a promotion based on bent money (like them the wrong side of Heywood did) with a points deduction that still allowed them to get promoted. Their fans weren't moaning then. They celebrated it. Remember going to Saltergate not long after and Dale fans were throwing brown envelopes in the air at the game.
