The other day, a colleague/friend was saying, that if you ask someone to name all seven actors in the Magnificent Seven. He has found the one actor most people forget is Brad Dexter. So who are the footballers most people forget? As in I don't remember him playing for them/us.

Two players not mentioned on this thread are the iconic Bob Mountford, a real centre forward who dared to put his head where many players were too scared to put their feet and the brilliant winger Tony Whelan. Many times boots and bodies were flying about in the six yard box and Bob would emerge through the lot of them unscathed after putting the ball in the opponents net. As for Whelan his ability to dance round defenders as if they werent there was a joy to watch.
Yeah Tony Whelan was a clever player, he had good foot work for quite a big guy. Another centre forward who would put his head anywhere was " Big Louis " Bimpson
Most " Dale " teams in my " youth " had at least one player who was well worth paying the admission fee to watch. Some teams had several who got you out of your seat.
