Night out in Manchester 17:42 - Oct 10 with 8726 viewsmodelboydave

Im bringing a few lads up for the Luton match in November. We are having a night out in Manchester after the game. I'm in charge of planning it, so i am after some help as i don't know the night life in Manchester.

The requirements from the lads are.

A few pubs that play 80/90's music none of that bop bop stuff.
A pub that serves proper ale (not larger)
A few pubs that actually contain women and not 100% men.
A nightclub 80/90's music (Chicago Rock Cafe) type....of club or Madchester type music.
A decent Kebab at the end of the night.

hope you guys can help!

Yes, you're right, but i refuse to recommend going to an "oyster bar" for a day on the piss!

Gotta to love an oyster, maybe not the blue oyster bar though. The port bar mentioned earlier does oysters, as does the microbar in the arndale. There it’s £3.05 a pint, and you can grab food from any of the outlets in there whilst quaffing

NB To remove any confusion and for clarity the Blue Oyster is a cult, not a clique.

Up the Dale - NOT for sale!

I would echo the suggested pubs i,e.

The Angel, Marble Arch, Port House.... but would add

The Castle (Lever St)
Smithfield (Swan Street)
The Piccadilly Tab (on road up to the station is also good)

Angel didn't get in GBG which I was surprised at. Not been in for a while - is it still good?

Good shout on Piccadilly Tab too

Is the brick house still going. Best nightclub for music in my day as well as 5th Avenue

Agree with all the pubs chosen, Manchester is a cracking night
