Bit of a random one but still got what sounds like a war zone taking place in the sky near me, how in God's name is it still ok for any tom dick and chav to pop into Tesco and buy what's essentially a ridiculously dangerous pre made bomb.

In a day when the countries H&S bonkers it beggars belief these are still on open sale to every chav in the country

I dont live in Norden, shock horror but neither do I mention it like I've hit the big time either to somehow amplify my post a little bit.

Your posts don't read tic one bit but nice back tracking, "its like you actually know me" interesting comment considering you seem to know I've no sense of humour... it's like er you actually know me

I mentioned where I lived because we were talking about people letting fireworks off in our respective areas I asked Rooley where he lived. And yes a bit of me mentioned it because I knew it would piss off the sort of tacky person who refers to people as chavs.

Im sure youd call it a joke if one of your relatives was burned to death in a tower nlock through no fault of their own.

I never said it was a funny joke it was disgusting. I just hope you never do anything in bad taste or that’s not very PC and end up with the long arm of the law coming down on you.

If being opposed to the open sale of chavtastic fireworks makes me tacky I'll gladly take that name, even more so if it puts my views at polar opposite to some bell end that sees folk making a joke about Grenfell as perfectly fine, I've more class than you'll ever dream of having from your "sunny Cheshire" abode..

Do you honestly believe the bollox that comes out of your mouth or is just reactionary stuff to get the attention you so desperately crave?

Mate please don’t think you have any class you used to regularly brag about your connections that got you free tickets into the match and how the rest of us are paying mugs (I actually thought it was a funny riposte to some posters maybe you do have a sense of humour) and it had a certain poster spitting feathers for months. No I’m afraid your very tacky and rolling about at our level in the shit*.

I have not said joking about people burning in fires is fine. Are you on a man period today? You really are having a moment. Step away from the laptop. And being called reactionary by someone who uses the daily mail stock insult for poor people is hilarious.

Interesting that a lot of the people complaining about three weeks of noise own dogs that produce 52 weeks of noise!

What I can’t understand is why someone would put the video of the bonfire on the net. Either stupid or not a very good friend?

I think the Grenfell situation has been milked enough. Many individuals have been killed in fires, and accidents no fault of their own with no media hysteria. They get no help or publicity. On average nearly 5 people are killed each day on the roads. Individual tragedies. No help or support given. The Grenfell fire was an accident. Accidents happen.

I agree with that to the point of it being an accident. Would you clad your own house with combustible material. At best it’s negligence at worst it’s manslaughter.

You can't beat a good bommy, preferably a small-scale local community one organised by responsible adults, but they seem few and far between these days. Large-scale commercialised ones aren't for me, where you can't get close enough to really feel the heat and watch the individual timbers catch hold and glow, a ritual to ward off for one night the onset of winter darkness (whatever other meanings it might have), a feeling ingrained in humans since the discovery of how to control fire

Agree that the increasingly irresponsible use of fireworks needs to be addressed, without spoiling anyone's fun but anyone includes the whole community. And it'll always be on 5 November for me, however much commercial pressures try to shift it to the nearest weekend

Many houses are clad with wood, our house partly. I might well have used it if it wasn’t made clear it was combustible. Who do you blame? The argument will go on forever using our money.

Doing very well today with your assumptions, sorry I don't use a laptop nor do I read any papers,I leave that to a political genius like your good self.

I like it how "you're"(spelling) suddenly some kind of social barometer.. whilst knowing absolutely cock all about someone, have you read about it somewhere... watch out kiwi someone's after your title

I have a 4 year old that needs a degree of sleep and a 6 month old baby does that count as a good enough reason to not be too keen on fireworks going off at all hours?

It was a joke. Not a tasteful joke, not a well thought out joke, not a funny joke or even a clever joke but a joke none the less. What’s more concerning is the fact that our empty suit of a PM will join in with a twitter mob condemning it and you can be arrested for a joke. Meanwhile while all the attention is on the sick joke the people who ordered the flammable cladding be put up are sitting pretty and aren’t behind bars for manslaughter.

Look at the bigger picture.

Wow

I have no words really to respond to your post.

Are you really trying to defend such an abhorrent act?.

Clearly a good day for the issuing of bad news and the Spice Girls reunion without the mighty Posh.

Going to watch them will be like seeing the Beetles without Lennon & McCartney, Led Zep without Plant & Page, or Status Quo without whosit.

As the you are first person to ever have kids I agree we should all cancel bonfire night so your young uns can get a decent nights kip. Funny to note that I’m the attention seeker when you start a thread on a football forum moaning about fireworks on bonfire night. You crack on and have a chavtastic day cocker.

How do you know my dog produces 52 weeks of noise? Along with any other dog I might add, weirdly the only time mine growls is when scared shitless by explosions going off around her.....

My dog rarely barks, and is very placid when fireworks are going off.

He does like to lick his own nads in public, though. Probably explains why he answers to the name of Bono.

Every year when it comes to bonfire week we take our dogs on holiday up to scotland to get away from what sounds like ww3 going on..
Where we stay its just outside of town and you can see the fireworks in the distance..

The government will never ban fireworks due to the tax revenue they earn..
The only way around it is stop selling the explosive noise making fireworks and just have colourful displays.....

I think the use of the word joke is what people have taken issue with.
Remove any reference to jokes from the post and I wouldn't be surprised if people agree with your overall point.

But it was a joke. I don’t want to live in a country where people can be arrested for a joke. Even if I do disagree with the sentiment or subject matter of the joke.

It looked more like a pre-meditated celebration, even labelling the building with the name.

The images of heads at windows, cut out from brown paper was just sick. The tvvat shouting out "jump, jump".
