"Points make prizes" as was once said on a TV game show, but our shockingly bad goal difference, caused by defensive frailties visible for 18 months, is almost a point against and increases our vulnerability in the lower positions of L1.
Our GD wasn't as bad this time last year. We were giving games away from winning positions and conceding far too many late goals but not letting in a shedload of goals like we have this time round.
Looks like the mistakes of 2017-18 have not been learned. We survived by a point and GD of -8 last year. The BIFFO's GD was -17. Ours now,today, is a ridiculous -25.
Another "improvement" "The Glorious Leader" can take responsibility for. Not.

I don’t really see many positives unless we sort ourselves out, we ain’t winning, and whilst the hammering seem to have stopped, we have an appalling goal difference and our recruitment effort appears to be hampered by austerity. |  |
