Couchsurfing APP 20:30 - Apr 16 with 1212 views

Has anybody used the Couchsurfing app to get free accommodation? If so what is your experience? I am looking to go Backpacking & it looks to be a good option to keep costs down

I've never used it, but a friend used to use it all the time and absolutely loved it. He even did the other side and offered his place to couch surfers. He met lots of new friends through it and I'm sure he would recommend it.

I must admit personally I'd prefer my own space, but I can see the attraction of it.

Thanks for that. I would also prefer my own space but can't knock a freebie!! may try and use it 4 or 5 days a week and a hostel for 2 or 3
