Another performance like Tuesday's will fit the bill perfectly, and while Blackpool confidence should be high with their early season results there is no reason to think that we could reasonably expect to take something from this game. |  | | |  |

Drinks break after 25 minutes for the heat. After a decent 10 minutes Blackpool have been very good and you can see why they are top. One brilliant instinctive save by Sanchez after he gave away a needless corner. They look very sharp moving forward and have also caused us to make mistakes with our passing game at the back. Sanchez looks very assured in goal.

Blackpool nut had any shots other than the one that produced the save from Sanchez but they are getting the ball into the last third and our box more often. I would say they shaded that first half

Pyke on for Ryan at HT. Great opening 10 minutes with both teams having decent chances. Brilliant run by a Blackpool forward who dribbled through & put some Dale defenders on their backs. Sanchez made a great save. Pike had a good chance a few seconds before that & Camps has put a great shot just over

Finished 0-0 against a very good side but what a bit of luck in the 4th minute of Injury time. Blackpool player puts in a cross that is partly deflected into the air. Looks like O'Connell just has to head it clear but he doesn't and sells a dummy to Sanchez who misses it. The ball bounces across the goal and hits the inside of the far post and we clear it.
Sanches named MOM and rightly so but special mention to Big Jim who was immense today as were most of the back 4
Blackpool have a lot of quality in their team so not to disappointed with the point or performance. Still lacking a bit of fire power but in fairness August and September look to have given us a lot of fixtures against the better teams | | | |

Could be a point we look back on and think it was a decent point.
Looked a different team to the one on Tuesday. We were awful in the final third, they could have played without a keeper. Done and Andrew in their brief cameos this season have both offered absolutely nothing.

Blackpool were excellent and it was a damn good point against them, albeit a result that for the first time this season was better than what we deserved.
That was our worst performance of the season, and principally that was because Blackpool figured us out from the first minute. They know we like to play passing football starting from the back and they exploited that by pressing us constantly.

A very good draw. The selection with so many midfielders wasn’t right, as illustrated by Ryan’s substitution. But we defended well and saw the game out.
We need something different in forward positions. Keeping Wilbraham while we had Calvin reduced our options.
This next week is important, get a couple out on loan/permanently and bring in someone who adds a spark. |  |

An excellent steady as you go start to the season. Just what the doctor ordered after the last 2 seasons.
Some interesting substitutions today. The odds of pyke, done and Andrew coming on at 0-0 would have been huge. So BBM can’t be accused of not going for it.
The pressing game of the opponents for next week’s game at Southend will be interesting. Have spoken with my nephew who went to Wycombe and he thinks Bond will still be in charge for next Saturday, judging by the reaction of the Southend fans at the end of a tough defeat. If they are playing for Bond and want him to stay they will be up for next week, and in our faces. Need to put this one behind them mind.
