Just a thought to try to drum up a bit of support after the Utd game.
How about the club does a special offer for 1 home game for fans that went to OT? Non season ticket holders could get into a home game for say £10 adults & £5 kids/OAP’s, Pay on the gate if they show their tkt stub from the United game.
We play Wycombe on sat 28 sept or could do it for the Accrington or MK Dons game in Oct, games that traditionally don’t have many away fans. It would be a thank you for supporters & could hopefully bring in a few fans who wouldn’t have gone to these fixtures. Any thoughts?

It's proactive in trying to get a few more bums on seats, good idea in my opinion....

Most clubs do something in the run up to a fixture like this. Using some sort of priority for buying tickets if the home game prior to the attractive fixture is attended. Obvs not happened but given the way the fixtures have fallen and the massive away allocation there's not much need to drum up further interest.

I really think the club should try your idea, or something along those lines. It's not like they'll be short of cash following the game!

Great idea, and should attract some additional supporters...It's certainly better than penalising those who turn up on the day with price rises.

Hopefully, the club will see this and act.

Great idea, one off opportunity too.

Belting idea. The club could do to announce it sooner rather than later as might attract those who were maybe still toying with the idea of going to OT.

But i agree with your thought process! The OP is a great idea to encourage newcomers, but an additional gesture towards the core fanbase would be welcome; in addition, that is, to watching games for well below the potd cost and having first dibs on OT tickets. Loyalty should be seen to be rewarded

Besides, not enough pies to go round

If there are less pies would this mean prices would go up to some silly amount?

Isn't season ticket holders loyalty already rewarded by being able to watch the Dale at a reduced rate per match?

Edit: sorry, just re-read your post. You want additional loyalty bonuses on top of first dibs and reduced rates. No harm in asking I suppose! 🤦‍♂️

Let there be not a whisper about any of those floating fans who had a great night out 24 hours ago not turning up on Saturday.

It looks even more like an opportunity missed.

You could reward season ticket holders by not allowing them a pie!

The official site has a cracking deal for new floaters that want to follow up last night with something special. For just £2.50 more than the walk up ticket price v Wycombe you can have a programme, a 3 course meal, half time cakes and watch the MOM presentation. Its a cracking deal at £27.50. And is cheaper than the "upgrade price" for season ticket holders. A great bargain if you want to experience COA

As long as there aren't any half-time floaters!

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?
