I think he quoted in another article that it costs around £350K per month - assume that is everything - around the £4 million mark per year to keep the club going. Frightening hey, but where we're at. But exactly as you're saying - £500K we most definitely would not have had. [Post edited 25 Sep 2019 11:41]

It's illiterate. Are these press releases not checked before being published? The last one I remember seeing by that MEN journo had to be edited to correct the assertion of who founded Rochdale Ambassadors, and Sunderland fans being labelled as Dale fans. It's deluded - Rochdale have attracted 47,000 Manu fans?

53,000 crowd tonight on 13:22 - Sep 25 with 4247 views | 442Dale | As has been stated numerous times, some United fans have season tickets which mean they have an ‘opt-out’ period for cup games. If they don’t then they’ll be seen to have bought a ticket. As some United fans have already said, they retain the ticket to ensure priority for future games and don’t actually go to the game. But obviously they will tonight as they’re all massive fans of Calvin, Jack and our spectacular ability to turn out in random kits. Note: automatic relegation from the Football League began in 1987.

Good spot. We actually just avoided RE-ELECTION that season by virtue of a 1-1 draw at Peterborough, Paul Heaton scoring.

Surely, the largest crowd we've ever played infront of? A superb team effort backed by brilliant supporters... well done to each and every player and supporter who all played their part in making it a special night. It's just a shame that we didn't make much money from it eh Dave? !!!!!

I dont understand why we slag these add ons , so would it be better just to have 2650 there and look humiliated . Every team has this , you bring your mates who may have gone to the Dale in the old days but due to work commitments , family or even living out of the area cant get to many games. Its a good occasion to catch up and enjoy the ride as somebody once said. I dont mind the day trippers , I enjoyed having more fans than Sh"tport C"nty at Wembley , and full stands against Leeds , Coventry and Forest, embrace these fans do not shun them.

No problem 1907 , we are all entitled to our opinions , we are all Dale at the end of the day , and yesterday certainly solidified that . I maybe outspoken and tetchy on some players but I am only after the best for the club , within our financial means of course, I want to enjoy the ride as much as the next man. Last night was Wow wow wow by the way any bURY fans taking an envious sneaky peak on here. Up the dale
