To even get the game on today was a miracle. Its absolutely bucketed down for the vast majority of the past 48 hours and rained midweek as well. I had given zero chance to the game being on today and pretty much went home from my lads football training without any expectation of having to get up and leave the house again.
So, a big well done to the ground staff for getting the game on.
I mean, I wish they hadn't in hindsight but a tremendous effort nonetheless. |  |
