He was coach at Hull City under Phil Brown when they got promoted to the Premier League and he and Parkinson had plenty of success at Bradford City (promotion from L2 and a Carling Cup final) before getting Bolton promoted and keeping them up for a season in the championship. | | | |

I remember speaking to Parkin when Gary Jones broke the club appearance record. He couldn't do enough for me and gave me plenty of quotes and information to enhance what I was putting together. | |
