Our former chief exec has just been appointed to a fresh job; he’s the new CEO of Welcome to Yorkshire which runs tourism in the county and organises cycling’s Tour de Yorkshire amongst other events.
Good luck to him as he always came across as a good bloke when I met him at Spotland.

Yes, very best wishes to him. Our loss.

I don't think we could match the £130,000 salary?

Is that the "going rate" for CEOs?....no wonder we're skint.

You're on a wind-up, right?

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

Certainly not!! I know one personally & he’s on a fraction of that! (Not DB, in case anyone’s wondering)...

Indeed...apparently Sir Gary was on nearly twice as much as the offer to James Mason.

But we have loads of money in Yorkshire.

Sir Gary also had a lavish expense account according to some sources.
Which is one of the reasons that he left.

That's because none of you spend any.

Poll: Who do you think bury should appoint as their next manager?

Well he did tend to just get on with it and had a chauffeur to get him about for example. Some now think he was too extravagant and there was going to be a review/investigation. But you have to admire the impact he has had on creating a worldwide tourist brand with "Welcome to Yorkshire" that has created tens of millions in revenue and brought the Tour de France to Yorkshire. I know that the North East looks on in envy

He is great to listen to at a dinner. If only we could attract somebody with so much charisma and drive

All depends on the size of the company, our CEO is on 500k a year and he’s earning significantly less than his predecessor.

Leader of the little gang of immature cretins.
