I am contradicting myself slightly but should there be a statement regarding recruitment, squad etc

Probably, but not on a Saturday afternoon, James.

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

Doesn't the manager and squad start back tomorrow? If so we might start to hear a bit more from this week onwards. An interview with BBM would be nice see what his thoughts are on the upcoming season, how lockdown and being furlough has affected everyone etc. What his plans are for signings and what are the expectations on him from the board.

I won't hold my breath though 😂

Poll: What are we more excited for?

Jay Spearing signs for Tranmere:

Interesting one that. Palios commented that relegation alone would cost them £1m (not taking the effects of COVID into consideration) yet they've retained almost all of their regular players from League One and have made a very good signing here.

Tangled up in blue.

"Tranmere Rovers Football Club regrets to announce that, as a consequence of the financial pressures caused by the suspension of all football in the country, which pressures were exacerbated by the EFL's decision yesterday to terminate the League One season and demote the Club to League Two, approximately 20 staff have been informed that their positions will be made redundant from the end of July."

Maybe he just really wanted to play for his local team and they got him cheaper than other teams would have.

There’ll be some strong teams in L1 in 2021/22.
Salford, Bolton, Tranmere........presuming that they all get promoted.....
Spearing must be on good money there after leaving Blackpool who were throwing money around themselves.

I suspect that's why he said 2021/2022 and assuming they all get promoted

The chances are they won't, and we might not be focussing on L1 in 2021/2022!
