Have been given a place in the NW Counties League. Hard to see how that can be viable. Wonder if Bury FC will take a thousand over there?

Only a thousand? Surely it will be a bigger event than the TT.

They have had a Rugby Club playing in the North West Leagues for some years now. So where there is a will, there is a way.

The good teams will be the ones who can perform on a rainy Tuesday night in November in Douglas......

Trust me, down at The Bowl, that’ll be grim.

I'm pretty sure Jersey Bulls who play in the Combined Counties League are made to pay for the travel expenses of all visiting clubs. Suspect it might be the same with Isle of Man?

Tangled up in blue.

It is. They’ll usually find a corporate sponsor on the island who’ll pay for the bulk of it in return for the usual advertising etc.

Would this be the same IOM team we played during a pre-season competition out there a number of years ago?

Tbf I’d be well up for an FA Cup trip there.

It’d essentially be the Manx national side, yes. I know in the past, it was whoever was on-island during July (for the Steam Packet tournament) but it would actually be the best XI they can put out in the NW Counties.

At least its not as far as Toronto in RL. Who have pulled out of Super League, at least for this year.

Yes Arthur, a crafty way for them to avoid relegation. Since they are based at Leigh there is no excuse but Rugby League will fall for it because they need the money of the bloke with big pockets who funds them.
