Quote from BBM.
'Ryan [Lowe, Manager] has obviously done a great job with them and they’ve come through that sticky period, and now that they are reaping the rewards of that, it must feel great for them'.
Maybe that's because he's playing players in their correct position and not asking them to do things they can't.
Just a suggestion, Brian.

17 minutes ...... free kick from Bazunu's left into the box, goal-mouth scramble poked home and we go 1 down

Up the Dale - NOT for sale!

17 minutes that is what I would call optimism.

I’m going for a prediction of 13 minutes.

Will they score off a corner ball?

I've had enough of this pessimism.

Dale to score early.

Then lose 1 - 2.

It’s indicative of our current situation that I get more stimulation from checks the other relegation games than anything the Dale are doing on the pitch.
My pleas for today are the only fullback at the club is played at fullback, i.e. McLaughlin. We play Matt Lund in midfield. The fact the Blackburn lad is not available now means we are light on strikers, so for me it would mean Matt Done partnering Humps up top. Not convinced with Newby or Baah being to far up the field. They are both more effective advancing from deeper.
It could be a red letter day when the centre half duo is O’Connell and McShane. Who would ever have thought that might be possible this season.
I predicted a coupon buster in the reverse fixture, sadly no such prediction today. I will just be happy if we are not in the bottom four at the final whistle.

Probably. One of the defenders will no doubt leave others holding the baby.

Bazunu
McLaughlin, O'Connell, McShane, Done
Rathbone, Shaughnessy, Lund
Newby, Humphrys, Baah

Defenders defend, get the ball wide and to the forwards quickly, Rathbone and Lund can join attacks.

Phases of play, philosophies and any other such unnecessary information can be left for the incoming Sporting Director of Spectacularness to arrange neatly on their shelves.

JC that gash must have been bad. Didnt he try to play on a bit after or was he subbed off straight away? He's got the heart of a lion but the luck of a ticket holder on Titanic's maiden voyage. Wishing him well in his recovery

Given we now have a glut of defenders available id like to see us go with 3 centre halves and wingbacks.

Bazunu
McLaughlin O'Connell McShane Roberts Done
Shaughnessy
Lund Rathbone
Newby Humphrys

Let Newby float around in free role.

To me this plays everyone in favoured positions and would allow Roberts and O'Connell to step out of defence as we know they like to do but with cover provided by McShane and Shaughnessy.

Great to see McShane back. Why is McLaughlin on the bench again?

Ideally looking at who’s been selected I’d like to see one of Keohane/O’Connell dropping in at defensive midfield to allow Morley to push-up. Presume it’s 5 at the back though.

Think Shaughnessy will play the sitting role in midfield, and looks like a back four with Osho right back again.
