Tonight I will be mostly supping Brewdog ales....

Layer Cake marshmallow and chocolate stout (7%)

Double Punk (8%)

Lazer Quest marshmallow and pineapple IPA (6%)

Not to everybody's taste I know but anybody tried them?

Poll: Will you purchase any shares?...

Double punk is quite good although don't usually like IPA's beyond 6%. Not tried the other 2. a pint of each of those and the Dale might look quite watchable

I had some last week, think it was Elvis juice, made with grapefruit.

It were decent tbf, although it did spray all over the place when opened.

It was all shook up.

Poll: What is it to be then?

Craft ale rather than real ale, but let's not get carried away about it. We've had enough pedantry of late.

Enjoy chalky lad.

Get yourself on the Untappd app. Great way of keeping track of what you've tried.

Real ale and craft beer, it's all good to me. Anything that has people enjoying a better drop of what they like is a good thing in my book.

Have a google while you gargle, but don't argue or you'll be taken to cask

Would say real ale is bottled and craft ale is canned.

Real ale is bottle/cask conditioned, so still yeastily alive.
There are a variety of definitions of craft, most tend to revolve around how big a batch can be in order to maintain quality. The acceptable batch size seems to grow with every new suggestion but still far smaller than most mass produced beers. Not that some mass produced stuff can't be a nice drop

Neither phrase is a guarantee of quality but done right they can both be pure magic.

Although some of my mates have got so deep into it as for it to become annoying. Some of them will choose to drink a beer they don't like the sound of simply because they haven't tried it yet.

Tangled up in blue.

Just made an order with Brewdog this evening, who have some cracking new beers in, including a marshmallow stout.

Even though they’re not cheap, I’d also throughly recommend Cloudwater, brewed right next door to Piccadilly station.

The Brewdog v Cloudwater number is a great collab and is available in a few supermarkets so for anybody interested, that’d serve as a good introduction. I know for a fact that Tesco stock it.

Being harsh on Deya there!

Seven Brothers is decent too, but better out of a tap. The cans don't taste as good as they once did since their business has grown!

Seven brothers is excellent. I think they had it on draft at the Fox & Goose in Hebden Bridge for a while.

I've not felt as rough as I did this morning nor spent so much time on the bog since I drank four pints of Shipstones back in the 70's,ffs is this normal for real/craft ales? If it is then I might give it a rest
