Jarvis MEN comments now contradicted by EFL statement 16:10 - Aug 13 with 3272 viewsRAFCBLUE

Jarvis has been at his world of make believe again.

You'd think by now that he'd remember that if you speak to a national media outlet there is an inevitable fact checking and questioning of that outlet. Whilst the club are yet to comment (presumably because unlike Jarvis and Curran, they do not wish to break EFL regulations), the EFL has commented today on the MEN article.

In yesterday's MEN Jarvis had said clearly:

"If anything the board will be the demise of Rochdale AFC if they continue to act in the manner in which they have been.

"Furthermore, we have paid in excess of £1 million to date in consideration for shares, due diligence and legal costs. "

We wish to conclude the process in the professional manner that we have conducted ourselves in throughout. The EFL has been provided with information on the ultimate beneficial owner, along with proof, source and sufficiency of funds.

"They will come to their own conclusion as to whether this is acceptable in line with their requirements from their own findings, in their own time; from conversations, we have had so far they have been positive and they are certainly not drawn on speculation."

Now that was fact checked and proven to be untrue.

The EFL view completely contradicts young Jarvis and the statement made on behalf of Andy Curran.

In the statement today the EFL have said:
"We note the recent comments in the media but as we have stated previously whilst these matters are under consideration, we are simply not in a position to provide a running commentary as to what stage the process is at."

"The stakeholders involved understand the circumstances are are being kept fully appraised of developments."

"The League continues to reserve its position in respect of any matters arising out of the ongoing situation at the Club, with the overwhelming priority to ensure the long-term viable future of Rochdale and, despite the distractions, we will be using the full powers available to us under EFL Regulations to work towards achieving that outcome."

Jarvis said in the MEN that the takeover '100 per cent going ahead

It seems that Mr Jarvis, who has a long history of failed deals, is at odds between the EFL position and his perception of the reality.

It is encouraging that the EFL will use their "full powers" to investigate the proposal by Andrew Curran, Alexander Jarvis and Darrell Rose including asking the difficult questions about how the £2m noted in MEN article has been legally generated wealth.

In a lot of this convoluted tripe that gushes from the Jarvis/Curran/Rose camp, it is becoming increasingly difficult to establish who is saying what.

Some statements are allegedly from Jarvis, some are from Curran - via Jarvis - others are just statements without proper or full attribution.

The puppet masters and the puppet are all dropping each other in the mire, with alarming regularity and with no apparent heed of the consequences of what they say.

Hopefully they are becoming the architects of their own downfall. Let them carry on,whilst others keep a dignified and necessary silence.

It's an excellent point Sudden Lad.

Jarvis NEEDS to use the media. His hostile takeover attempt is failing because of three main reasons:

1. No shares to give control
2. The very serious questions over Andy Curran and Darrell Rose and their ability to pass the Owner's and Directors' Tests
3. The very serious questions over the £2 MILLION pounds referred to in the MEN article and where that money has come from? If you are left with after tax net wealth of £2m you usually have a lot of assets to your name but the public records show that Rose and Curran don't have any valuable businesses so it runs the questions of credibility over how and where they are funding this.

Jarvis then confirms:
* £1m has been spent - gone and so that means his position is that Kilpatrick, Altman and Marcelli have drawn their funds. I wonder if those three gentlement do have their share of the £1m nestling in a deposit savings account of whether they have yet to see that money?
* What was said in the meeting re: "small minded people" is true - previously he said it is false.
* What was said about the homophobic slurs was said and so is true but may have been taken "out of context". I'm not sure there is any context you can be homophobic where that is not illegal under hate crime laws.
* The takeover is "100% going ahead" but the EFL say they are "reserving their position" - another contradiction.
* Andy Curran had "nothing to do with Rochdale" in the Daily Telegraph; in the MEN Andy Curran publishes a statement drafted by Jarvis!

I do feel sorry for the club because (rightly) they are not commenting on this moron's fantasy view that there is a deal here. There are multiple EFL Regulation breaches by Jarvis, Curran and Rose in their conduct and their application.

The facts still are that as of 13 August 2021 not one transfer form has been received by the Board of Rochdale football club.

The more Jarvis puts into the public domain, the more the journalists can fact check him and pull him up and Curran and his businesses.

It's what ultimately meant Jarvis botched the deal at Hull City and why Hull City was sold one without his involvement.

Curran and Rose must be fuming with him that he keeps repeatedly making them look like fools in the media. They'd have a better chance if they ditched him as their adviser!

"He went on: "The club is certainly not a 'cash cow, far from it. It's got no money and without significant investment, the club will run out of money before the end of the year."

Got to love Alexander.

It's going to be a hell of a December to spend all of that lovely FA Cup money!

...In an alternative universe, Cup money might have gone on a new Range Rover.... or an Ibiza weekend for the lads, to snort the night away.
