Chairman responds 11:22 - Aug 14 with 5183 viewsjudd

I know another poster has posted the link elsewhere, but felt this fine response from Simon merited it's own thread.

MEN clearly highlights the spin and obfuscation emanating from Jarvis in the name of his client.

It's good to see Delves publicly involved on our side, as he is still a bit of an unknown. I'd been wary of both him and Grindrod ever since they received shares from Bottomley just before the EGM.

The only bit that wasn’t to like was a reference to the club receiving a six figure sum for three players “and potentially a fourth”.
Someone else may be on the way out before the end of the deadline.

Currans statement is just spin without substance. There's no passion evident for Rochdale the club. Just an emotionless reiteration that he want to lump somebody's money at the club.

Morley perhaps, or more likely someone's interested in EOC

As for the MEN exchanges, i'm just pleased to see Gauge taking the gloves off - in an ever so polite and professional way. He's drawing out the bullshit from the evil bidders to great effect

It was understandable when Gauge expressed his "delight" following their initial meeting since it looked very much like Curran/Rose were going to be in the driving seat. Curran wearing flip-flops whilst driving is emblematic of the lack of professionalism compared with our new Chair

this is BRILLIANT.

we need to make sure everyone at the game, who may not be on social media or here, understands the threat we are facing. this logo appearing on the scoreboard should prove a good talking point for those not yet aware.

It's a great front foot piece from our new chairman.

Abundantly clear "We are not broke" and the claims being made by Jarvis and Curran are absolute b*llshit (the MEN has to be polite and use the word "rubbish")

With a new Board in place from the AGM/EGM, the short term finances are now secured by 1750 season tickets sold added to a decent six figure sum generated from player transfers with those players going for valuations we agreed with.

Granted that gives a range of outcomes from between £100,000 to £999,999 and we know it is at least £150,000 from Kwando Baah given what was published in The Athletic so add on what you think we got for Rathbone and Humphreys in any estimation that is a decent wad of cash.

My own estimate would think that we got at least what we got for Baah for the other two players so it will be north of £0.5m as a minimum.

The hints of a fourth player out for money are completely normal with two weeks of the transfer window to go and if another piece of business happens at the right price then guess what - that's more money into the club and another major cash inflow that threatens Jarvis' deal.

The club are also stating publicly they are well within the headroom too for wages as a proportion of turnover but I'm sure too that Stockdale will be looking to bring players in as he said at the forum so that headroom will reduce we will be well within the budget.

Jarvis is really confident when he says "However, I only deal in facts. Referencing EFL regulations, regulations which we intend to comply with fully, doesn't negate the fact that the club will run out of money before the end of the year.

"Intending to comply" must therefore involve showing the EFL and the world where the source of the £2m claimed is coming from and how Andy Curran fits into the Darrell Rose and Denise Valarie Courtnell empire of Morton House. That's going to have to be proven from the vast - but currently unknown - after tax wealth of Andy Curran.

Jarvis can't possibly back down from that £2m now - that £1m to the shareholders and two tranches of £500,000 promised in the MEN article of a few days ago.

Ironically we are going to be at home on 1 January 2022 to Mansfield Town. Perhaps Darrell Rose and his son Oliver Rose can have a word with John Radford, the Mansfield Chairman and see if that can get Jarvis a ticket that day.

Well done to Simon Gauge and George Delves for going public; as someone said a few weeks ago "Sunlight is the best disinfectant".
Come the end of next week I suspect there will be more sunlight on Jarvis and Curran's affairs than two weeks summer holiday in Spain.

our twitter account has had a few journos following / retweeting as of this morning... we're trying to reach a broader audience and that, coupled with the press attention in the Telegraph, MEN, Athletic etc, is certainly piquing interest.

If the logo appears at the match today, its likely to be picked up by the press sat opposite... and the more people that get photos of it and share it (tagging in useful people / press) and this could / should snowball very very quickly.

we're not glamorous; we're not particularly successful; but we are generally respected and liked - that should really stand in our favour as this gets more and more attention.

Well said Mr Chairman, it is about time these shysters were called out by the club.

We all know they were B*llsh*ters with their absurd claims on our financial state, how we were so desperate for money we sold Rathbone and Humphreys on the cheap, and they sought to make out that they would save us. The lies from the two shysters from spending a £1 million pound so far on the takeover to the non-existent over of funds to pay off debts as been exposed to the world. We still have not been shown how Mr Curran earns an income or how much money each actually got. The Dale fans have exposed the fact that Morton House have not got the money, despite their lies and subterfuge in pretending it as £4 million in the bank, when it as not. The latest desperate PR stunt in lying to the M.E.N on the state of the Dale as now been exposed by the club and crucially the EFL, can they not stop telling lies, constantly desperate attempts to con the Dale fans and get the message that we don't need or want them involved in the club.

I thought today that theTrust might start doing half time collections to raise a few quid towards more shares.. I know it smacks of buckets but, needs must occasionally and better to have the buckets out before the sh1t hits the fans with a vengence than try to play catch up. Charity begins at home games!

That's an excellent point Northern Dale.

Add to that the revelations about a Jarvis email from a few weeks ago that has gone into the public domain and there has to be serious doubt cast on the honesty of what Jarvis said to the MEN.

If that isn't / wasn't true then potentially some / all of the things that Jarvis has said about Curran aren't true. And some / all of the things that are claimed about the finances are not true.

Honesty isn't a decision by decision choices its a frame of mind.

It strikes me that Jarvis and Curran have committed dishonesty when comparing versions of what are supposed to be the same story!

The EFL today have some questions to answer themselves if they have been allowing a glorified fishing expedition off the banks of Hollingworth Lake and other than Jarvis spouting sh*te there is no credibility at all in him or his story.
